Microsoft hat einen Patch, der das folgende Problem behebt; Microsoft Dateireplikationsdienst (FRS) aktiviert auf Distributed File System (DFS) root wechselt jedesmal, wenn eine DFS-Verknüpfung hinzugefügt geänderten Verzeichnisse erstellt werden.
