Introduction
Those of us who dealt with organization of conferences or presentations probably
know, how important it is to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of demonstration
equipment and program tools. But not everybody can afford buying expensive projection
devices and costly presentation software. So what's to be done? Our new utility
KSSWare Presentation Manager is the best solution for you! By simply using standard
office notebooks or personal computers and a local network you will be able to easily
transfer data to the maximum number of conference participants.
KSSWare Presentation Manager consists of two parts:
KSSWare Presentation Server
and KSSWare Presentation Client.
KSSWare Presentation Client does not require any installation or adjustment,
whereas KSSWare Presentation Server requires only adding to a list of clients,
to which the transmission of picture shall be performed.
There are a lot of tasks which can be solved with the help of KSSWare Presentation
Manager. One of the main areas where it can be efficiently used is organizing of
conferences. For this purpose KSSWare Presentation Manager should be installed on
the main computer (Server) providing the demonstration of presentation and then it can be
used for transmission of pictures of chosen screens to specified clients in the
network. The main computer is usually a powerful computer with two video outputs,
one of which is used for preparation to and start of presentations, and the other
is used for direct output of presentations via a multimedia projector or a big
display. KSSWare Presentation Client is to be installed on notebooks (Clients) and used to
display information to those conference participants who encounter difficulties
with viewing a picture through a multimedia projector or a big display. In addition,
KSSWare Presentation Client is used for administration of a presentation. For this
purpose the program should be installed on a notebook of a speaker (Client) who can easily
control the development of his presentation using a keyboard and a mouse. In this
way, KSSWare Presentation Server lets you:
- transmit a picture of one screen used for preparation to and administration
of presentations, to a speaker's notebook and simultaneously receive control
commands from the speaker's notebook;
- transmit a picture of a second screen used for demonstration of
presentations, to participants' notebooks.
You can see this process here.
Another task which can be solved with the help of KSSWare Presentation Manager
is educating your audience by using computers. For this purpose you should
install KSSWare Presentation Server on the main computer (Server) from which the
educating takes place and which provides for transmission to the computers of
audience being educated (Clients). At any moment, a trainee can repeat any actions on
his computer using a keyboard and a mouse, provided that he has the
corresponding administrative rights. In case of constant process of education,
KSSWare Presentation Server can be adjusted, if required, to autostart in the
full-screen mode. In this case it is sufficient to simply turn on the computer
and begin the educating process immediately after loading.
